GREATER SEATTLE DISTRICT GARDEN CLUBS
  • There are five clubs located in the Greater Seattle area. We are a 501c3 non-profit educational organization.  Our District is affiliated with the WA State Federation of Garden Clubs, Pacific Regional Garden Clubs, and The National Garden Clubs, Inc.     • ​MISSION STATEMENT:   Greater Seattle District Garden Clubs' mission is to cooperate with other agencies in furthering the interests of conservation, civic beauty, and roadside beautification; to coordinate the interests of the garden clubs of the District to bring them into a closer relationship of mutual helpfulness by association conference and publications; and, to advance the fine art of gardening, the art of design, landscape design, civic improvement and the study of horticulture.

Board officers and Club Presidents are voting members of the Board and attend Board Meetings.  All members may attend a Board Meeting but do not have voting authority.

GENERAL MEETINGS - ALL MEMBERS

  • ​Meeting Time:  10:00 am to 2:00 pm (doors open at 9:00 am​ for setup)
  • Bring Horticulture and Floral Designs
  • ​Registration Fee:  $5 pp​
  • Reserved Lunch Fee:  $10 pp
General Member Meetings include a speaker on Horticulture and/or Design, a hands-on floral design session, and review of horticulture and floral designs brought by members. A raffle and drawing of quality items are included for fund raising to support our program and venue expenses. There is plenty of parking and the facility is fully handicap accessible. Member who has prepared floral designs and horticulture specimen for viewing must be placed by 10 am. Bring your own lunch.  Meeting adjourns at 1 pm.

DISTRICT CLUBS IN GREATER SEATTLE AREA
Greater Seattle District has five clubs in our Seattle neighborhoods and Lake Forrest Park just north of Seattle. Clubs schedule tours and field trips during the year.  Most clubs provide an annual plant sale to the public

The inception dates of our Guild and Clubs range from 1919 to 1958.
Carleton Park - Magnolia Hill Neighborhood. Meets the 2nd Thursday of the month, 10:00 am.
Crestwood - West Seattle Neighborhood. Meets the 2nd Friday of the month, 10:00 am at
St Paul's of Shorewood Church, 11620 21st Ave SW, Burien, WA.
Lakeshore - Lake Forest Park north of Seattle.  Meets 2nd Tuesday of the month, 10:00 am.
North End - Ballard Neighborhood.  Meets the 1st Friday of the month, 10:00 am. Link for more information

HOW TO START A CLUB 
  • Are you and your neighbors interested in beautification of your neighborhood or town?
  • Do you want to learn how to grow your own vegetables - even on your patio?
  • Are you concerned about environmental issues facing your community?
  • Do you wish you knew how to landscape your yard, plant a container garden on your porch or make a floral centerpiece for your dinner table?
  • Focus on any or all of these things while building friendships and bettering your community and environment!
